ShakerBag Option NEW version with improved CO2 control

INFORS HT proudly launches a new version of the ShakerBag Option. The ShakerBag Option enables the cultivation in single use bags in the Multitron Cell or Multitron 2. The new development features an improved gas flow with electronic display and accurate CO₂ control between 0-20 %. One gassing line is suitable for all kind of bags (2 L, 10 L or 20 L).

Combined with the Multitron Cell, the ShakerBag Option facilitates the cultivation of mammalian, insect or plant cells in disposable bags with working volumes from 0.2 to 10 L in orbital incubator shakers. This makes them the only machines on the market, which provide the possibility to use practically any culture vessel, including microtiter plates, tubes, Erlenmeyer flasks and disposable bags.

Up to 3 x 2 L, 2 x 10 L or 1 x 20 L disposable bags from different manufacturers can be used in parallel in a single Multitron unit. Direct gassing of air or a gas mixture containing air/CO₂ allows for customized supply of oxygen to the individual culture bags and stabilizes the pH value as well. The mobile Pt100 controls the optimal temperature of the culture. Moreover, a pass-through on the side of the unit allows cables of measuring probes or gas lines to be guided into the incubation chamber.
