    INFORS HT offers you professional solutions for O2 and CO2 analysis for metabolic studies and bioprocess control: the INFORS HT Gas Analyser or BlueSens gas sensors.

    The O2 or CO2 analysis can be seamlessly integrated into your bioreactor, thus enabling you to make direct deductions as to the condition of the culture during the actual bioprocess. The Iris software allows the calculation of parameters such as the CO2 evolution rate (CER), the O2 uptake rate (OUR) and the resulting respiratory quotient (RQ).

    This in turn makes it possible to adopt a systematic approach to bioprocess control, to maintain specific metabolic states and to prevent O2 limitations or substrate limitations.

  • Online Cell Density and Biomass
    For all INFORS HT bioreactors we provide you with solutions for the online detection of cell densities and biomass. By doing so, you get a better understanding of your processes without manually taking a sample, which reduces your process time significantly.

    As a standard, we provide the Finesse TruCell2 sensors for automated detection of both total cell density and biomass during the cultivation of cells or microorganism. The ideal sensors will be chosen for your application.

    For determining the viable cell density sensors from FOGALE and ABER Instruments can also easily be operated with INFORS HT bioreactors.

  • Spin Filter
    As an option, INFORS HT cell bioreactors for perfusion processes can be equipped with a spin filter. The purpose of the spin filter in continuous perfusion processes is cell-free removal (harvesting) of culture supernatants from bioreactors. Spin filters are in common use in industrial research and development and for production purposes.

    The INFORS HT spin filter is used inside the bioreactor and allows cells to be cultivated permanently under optimal conditions such that there is no need to remove the cell culture from the bioreactor. The fine pores or mesh of the spin filter separate(s) the culture medium gently from the cells. The cell-free culture supernatant is collected in the hollow space of the spin filter and can be removed from the bioreactor in steps or continuously through an additional harvesting tube. For this purpose, we recommend the use of the precise level control feature through weighing machines or probes to ensure optimal regulation of the removal/addition of medium.

    The use of spin filters is well-suited, in particular, for sensitive cells since it is associated with no changes in the cultivation parameters, such as, e.g., temperature differences from external applications, and there is no adverse influence of external pumps on the cells.

    The use of INFORS HT spin filters directly in the bioreactor provides additional protection from contamination since the spin filter is integrated in the device and the preparations for the bioprocess are simple.

    The new INFORS HT Super Safe Sampler rounds up the high standard of INFORS HT bioreactors. The Super Safe Sampler allows you to take smallest samples without wasting any culture. This helps to get more precise results especially in small-scale bioprocesses due to minimum loss of culture volume.
